Tale
Three strangers – who live in the same New York apartment building and are obsessed with true crime – suddenly find themselves entangled in a murder. Steve Martin plays the concertina in various scenes. The viewer learned in the first episode that CHS lived above Oliver, who lived above Mabel, thanks to that elevator scene.

BUT in the opening episode, CHS lives in an apartment on the 7th floor, Oliver on the 8th, Mabel on the 9th – the reverse order and well below CHS’s actual floor in the show. I previously rated the show an 8, but had to lower my rating after season 3. I loved seasons 1 and 2, but season 3 just didn’t bring me the same joy.
The main characters seem to have different personalities
The show was warm, engaging, and funny in Season 1 and 2, but a lot of that gets lost in Season 3. Personally, I’m not a fan of the musical theme in Season 3, but others seem to love it. The reveals are obvious and easy to guess early on and there aren’t many interesting/twist twists.
I wish the show had continued on, more like Season 1
The writing feels a lot less serious, like they knew it was a stupid premise so they didn’t put as much effort into writing it. Overall, I’m disappointed with Season 3, the ending certainly wasn’t worth dragging out 10 episodes.
