The filmmakers used what they already had on hand

After being resurrected by a sinister creature, Art the Clown returns to the quaint town of Miles County, where he preys on a young girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. The haunted house scenes in “Terrifier” were filmed at a real haunted house called the Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Art’s favorite acid is fluoroantimonic acid, which he keeps in a clear glass bottle. It is a superacid that can dissolve even glass.
Basically every violent scene has been shortened to tone down the violence
Clown type: ………. There is a mid-credits scene in a mental hospital with Chris Jericho as security guard Alan Burke and Leah Voysey as a nurse. The German DVD and Blu-ray releases of Tiberius Film are trimmed by about three minutes to achieve an 18+ rating (this was necessary because the guidelines for video releases are stricter than for theatrical releases). The Nameless Media Mediabook 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray releases are completely uncut and have received a light SPIO/JK clearance.

The Equalizer (Not Alone) Written by Tim McEwan and Tyler Lyle (as Jamison Tyler Lyle) Performed by The Midnight Courtesy of BMG Platinum Songs U.S.A. (IMC). The film is, as others have pointed out, about 45 minutes too long. It is clear that the director got carried away.
Less is always more!
There are some plot developments that do not fit with the original film at all. Sometimes when filmmakers have a bigger budget, they feel the need to expand the plot and running time. The plot elements confuse a simple plot that, if it had been kept to about 90 minutes, would have had more impact. The carnage wasn’t as bad as the internet hype made it out to be.
Nothing about this kind of carnage was new
This has been done in many other movies. I think the creator of “Terrifier 2” unnecessarily incorporated additional thematic plots into the sequel. It ultimately borders on fantasy or science fiction. My advice to the creator or director is, “Keep it short and sweet.”
